Andrew Spyropoulos
brings to Prime Foods Ltd over 20 years experience
in the food and hospitality industry including 15
years as business owner of several independent food
supply companies servicing the food manufacturing
industry, restaurants and retailers. Andrew, a
restaurateur, understood the value early on in
delivering supply to the industry as a priority
opportunity that needed to help facilitate the
growth of all aligned industries. From humble
beginnings, Andrew Spyropoulos built a thriving
wholesale food business in a very competitive local
market as a result of delivering high quality
service to customers and sold this business in 2003
to become a leader in developing the food
manufacturing industry in Queensland. This has been
facilitated through the development of the state
based food industry cluster; Food Q Inc.as Chair,in
partnership with Brisbane City Council, State
Government and Federal Government Regional and
Economic Development Agencies.
Marco Berta has highly developed systems management
skills and expertise developed in over 17 years in business
in general, specialising in the last ten years in wholesale
food distribution operations management including the supply
to industry of bakery products, smallgoods, dairy, meat,
fats, oils and seafood to food manufacturers, restaurants
and food retailers. Marco has owned and managed wholesale
food distribution and customer quality service control for
businesses operating over $19m turnover annually until he
sold the business in 2003 to a public listed company. Marco
has the industry’s respect as he continues to develop
markets for his suppliers and fulfil his role as industry
leader by educating the end user with his honest down to
earth approach. Marco has an eye for opportunity and his
methodical, calculating approach allows him to capture it
and turn it to a sound investment.
Mark Sharry has been involved in the food industry for 18 years, the first five on the retail side with Woolworths and the remainder with two market leading food manufacturers. Having come from a retail background customers find that Mark understands their needs, particularly the "just in time" ordering style of most clients in this business. He therefore has a lot of empathy for the business, customer and its interdependent relationship.
